What drives Hamilton prices
Hamilton is Canada's steel heart. ArcelorMittal Dofasco and Stelco anchor a heavy industrial base, and the city is a major Great Lakes port. Steel and shipping mean constant freight, with trucks moving raw material and finished metal around the clock. Hamilton sits at the junction of the QEW, Highway 403, and the LINC, so it ties into the regional highway network from every direction. That steel and port economy, more than anything, is what sets the character of the local fuel market.
